Bio 1: Left Ctrl
LeftCtrl is a solo house music project of Konstantin Gredeskoul, a producer and a DJ from San Francisco, USA known for his down-tempo duo PolyGroovers and his punchy bass lines on the dancefloor. LeftCtrl recently performed live at FnF XII music festival in California, and is bringing his set down to NZ. His style ranges from funky house to punchy progessive grooves, but always with hypnotic rolling baselines and smooth hamornies.

POLYGROOVERS - TWO FACES OF THE GROOVERS PolyGroovers is an electronica / down-tempo duo, consisting of Konstantin Gredeskoul and Telene Johnston, a couple living and working in San Francisco. Both DJs with over five years of performing experience locally and internationally, Konstantin and Telene have been collaborating since 2001. Konstantin is the creative force behind the composition, arrangement and production of all songs, while Telene contributes vocals and a critical ear for what works and what doesn't. Starting 2006
PolyGroovers are collaborating with Maria Tumarkin - a published writer and a great friend. Maria is helping write lyrics for the third downtempo album, tentatively titled "Tips and Tricks".
PolyGroovers have been featured on SomaFM's Groove Saland since 2001 (although formerly known as PolyVinyl), performed live on KDVS (Davis) and KZSU (Stanford) radio stations, and have released two full albums of smooth down-tempo, lounge and organic grooves, with occasional vocal, instrumental and jazz elements.
AFFILIATIONS and OTHER PROJECTS
Konstantin of PolyGroovers additionally produces progressive and house as a solo project leftctrl. In addition Konstantin is involved with the house duo Soulaire (with DJ Kem).
Telene has past affiliations with Frequency 8 and Skills.
GROUP BIO
Konstantin was born in the Soviet Ukraine, where he spent his first eighteen years before moving to Australia. In 1997, Konstantin came to San Francisco where he met Telene - California native and a DJ with a solid name in the Bay Area progressive house and trance scene.
Passionate about music, the pair is continuously fascinated with the possibilities offered by modern software synthesis and composition tools. The duo's work is all about striving to create warmth, fluidity, and a smooth sound with their music, submerging their listeners into the deep atmosphere of hypnotic beats and jazzy harmonies.

Omega 3 - Smokescreen & Hammered Time/ Tinrib Digital
We've been missing a good old fashioned rave-up on these pages for a while. It's either gone tech, trancey or quite simply gash - few of the new bredd of producers have the quality to match the legendary hard NRG producers from a few years back. Fortunately the old sea dog Captain Tinrib returns here with Kiwi lads Scuba Steve and Butcher Bpy under their collective name Omega 3 guise for an uncompromising, unstoppable and essential release. 'Smoke Screen' raises the roof with energetic, staccato riffs and uplifting key changes, while 'Hammered Time' ramps up energy levels for an acid an Hoover- Fuelled romp with more than a passing nod to the Captain's classic remix. (DJ Mag 5 Star Release Of The Month!)

Omega 3 - Fishy Situations / Tinrib Digital
The characters behind Omega 3 are New Zealand-based Captain Tinrib,
Butcherboy and Steve Arnold. ‘Fishy Situations’ is a spun-out slab of raw NRG that somehow manages to slip in some bizarre panpipe sounding organ riffs. Don’t expect any frilly edges to ‘Farking Oldskool’ mind, as The Captain gets back to his scintillating and savage best with an unstoppable onslaught of rave stabs, screaming 303s and general dancefloor mayhem. DJ Mag.
'Fishy Situations' has been dubbed Andy Farley's Tune Of The Year @ This Year's Hard Dance awards. 'The tune which really defined the year for me is Omega 3's Fishy Situations, a mean slab of full on energy with an outstanding uplifting punchy riff at the breakdown.'
Review:
Omega 3 - What We Waiting 4? / Tinrib Digital Stowing away onboard the latest Captain Tinrib voyage are collaborators Steve Arnold and Butcher Boy. ‘What You Waiting For’ kicks off with a razor sharp old skool hard house groove, stepping up into familiar Tinrib territory with the addition of savage synth swells before sweeping into euphoric hard trance riffs for the finale. Could that be Gwen Stefani on guest vocals? It sounds a bit fishy to me... but is well worth sailing the Seven Seas to get hold of a copy for dancefloor reaction alone.
Review:
Omega 3 - We Can Fly/ Tinrib Digital Captain Tinrib makes a timely appearance on Vicious Circle while he tours Europe over the summer months, with the breakneck beats and fierce 303s of ‘Subsonic’ just edging this hard trance double-A showdown.
Tis a journey 'cross the broad sides of them there many a Hard Dance Music boat of today, the full spectrum of 15 years at sail, voyaging from the euphoria of trance thru to the pounding hard sounds of the end of the finest battle of the fittest at 155bpm with our ships hooverwhores revealed to the full. Omega 3 are, Dale Fairbairn (Butcher Boy,) Steve Arnold NZ (Scuba Steve - not the UK variety!,) and our worthy old swashbucklin’ seadog, Captain Tinrib.
Them there local natives decided to give him there Cap’n a run and create a release with the old sailor. This release continued on to two and they all rubbed themselves down with some of that fishy oil stuff......... and Omega 3 was born. Try it, its good for you!
‘We be better not mess about ‘ere...’ the skipper advised, ‘We now be in New Zealand we do, and how about we venture into the unknown, create a whole album, put it in the ships log, before they all be cursed and Lost @ Sea forever?,’ the mad sea dog barked.....
Other tracks only on the final release will include:
'Manta 3' - (The slippery 'ol sea fish rises from the depths once more with a full 10 minute non cuttable Master!)
'Smokescreen' - (Our secret we won't let from below deck yet! The secret weapon!)

What be your weapon for swashbucklin use, mine be me cutlass. Arrrrggghhhh.
Reviews:
DJ Andy Farley (Blue Cubed/ Red Management):
“Omega 3, a name you can’t have failed to notice if you’re an avid clubber on the hard scene. No I’m talking about cod liver oil, I’m talking about the trio from Christchurch who have been putting out the best and biggest uplifting hard nrg tracks over the past year. What better then than to have an album of all their material. Cue Omega 3 Lost @ Sea continuously mixed by Captain Tinrib himself. Eleven tracks in all, and all of which are currently on the playlists of djs such as Paul Glazby, Ben Stevens, Justin Bourne, Jp & Jukesy and myself to name just a few. Kicking off with the two tracks already signed to Vicious Circle, We Can Fly & Subsonic, you’re taken on a journey through to the amazing Fishy Situations currently my most asked after tune, a remix of the Captain’s Manta, to finish with Farkin’ Oldskool, another tune that has I’ve been hammering for the past six months or so. Look out for the launch of their Carbon Recordings imprint coming soon also, with the remix of Manta 3 kicking things off. Omega 3 – good for your health…..most definitely”
DJ Paul Glazby (Vicious Circle UK):
Absolutely awesome CD – Euphoric & Hard, like Tiesto with cast iron balls!!!!
DJ Steve Hill (Massif Labels & DJs Australia):
"I'm loving this album... it's currently on full volume in my studio! More please!"
DJ Justin Bourne (Short Circuit Records UK):
Wow! Is the first thought that springs to mind after listening to this awesome compilation from our oily boys Omega 3.
NRG/Hard House pioneer Captain Tinrib and his new shipmates Steve and Dale serve up some delicious beats of the more Hard Dance/Trance variety.
Lost At Sea includes monster tracks like Hammered Time and the stunning Fishy Situations, I’ve used both in a live DJ set for a forthcoming Tidy compilation and I’ve been playing others such as Smokescreen, Wired Out and the update of the classic Manta in most of my sets.
The biggest labels in our scene Vicious Circle and Tidy have been snapping up the tracks for release and you can see why with this display of musical genius.
With Omega 3 on the pulse our scene has a healthy future.

Its an online creation for today’s technology, of how our music is presented and enjoyed around the world in mp3 and of course CD format - the digital age has arrived with Tinrib!
Digital tracks are going to be released on a monthly basis. We got loads of treasure tracks prepared for release. We have to be waitin’ for them there magazine and online reviews and advertise the release dates. We not just gonna churn them out wiv no regret me scallies. It be promoted 1st!
The complete Tinrib Recordings & Dirty House catalogue is available here at Tinrib Digital. Some of those rare and collectable tracks are now available to everyone again.
It took the Captain just over 4 months to re- master and tweak every track to the limits of their sonic ability from the very 1st recordings thru to the final mixes in 2002. Yer sea dog nearly went deafo taking on such a tedious job!
We also be working on getting Captain Tinrib’s tracks, he’s released with other affiliate labels, to appear here at Tinrib Digital. Have to give them there labels a run at the vinyl sales 1st don't we. We don't wanna convert those vinyl lovers all this digi shenanigans too early don't ye fink?
**All you Vinyl lovers out there, we would love to support every release on the format, but, unfortunately it is just not feasible anymore to press 1000 full colour sleeves & vinyl records, then export from here in New Zealand!!!! When we do use this retro/ cult/ nostalgic vinyl format, we’ll go all the way and make it a collectable piece of art, in every way, like we have always done!!!
Hope you enjoy our website, all feedback is much appreciated.
Enjoy...
